‘Everybody is looking for him’: Birmingham father of infant girl missing for 1 month

Family and friends are searching for a 27-year-old Birmingham father who has now been missing for one month.

Vadarrius Rashard Echols was last seen Jan. 22. His loved ones have not heard from him since then, and said it is not like him to disappear.

“He’s never done this before,’’ said Chaterica Beverly, the mother of Echols’ daughter, who will turn 1 in a couple of months.

Echols was last seen at Taco Bell on Roebuck Parkway where he was a cook.

Beverly said it’s very unusual for Echols not to be in touch with his family or show up for work. He has had no social media presence since his disappearance.

“We’re very worried,’’ she said. “I’ve had no sleep. I keep trying to figure out if there’s something we missed.”

Echols does not have a vehicle and relies on other people for rides to places he needs to go.

“Everybody that he knows in Birmingham is looking for him,’’ she said.

Echols is 5-feet, 7-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. He has a “Valencia” tattoo on the left side of his neck.

Anyone with information is asked to call Birmingham police at 205-328-9311 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
